Tube Mapping and Drawings
The tube map drawing tools and functions used in
TubePro are very intuitive and easy to learn.
The greatest care has been taken to make the
tools and functions work similar to tools and
functions found in standard Windows programs.
This familiarity speeds up the learning curve
and the reporting process.

The tube map editing tools that are used in
TubePro are very easy to learn and are designed
to speed up the mapping process. Any number of
different tube sections can be added to a
project. The following tube patterns are
supported: 30°, 45°, 60°,
90°, rectangular pitch, triangular pitch, radial
pitch and circular pitch. TubePro has a unique
Auto-Map feature that lets you create
complicated shell & tube heat exchanger layouts
with very little data.
TubePro uses poly-line editing tools
extensively. These tools let you start with a
rectangular layout and then draw the tube-map
layout by clicking in between individual tubes.
Also, the inclusion of an Undo function
reduces the amount of repetitious work that has
to be done in case of a mistake.

TubePro uses fully customizable drawing
templates. The use templates provides
accurate and consistent reporting throughout any
organization. Templates can be setup for a
particular customer, inspection type or job.
When ever you need to use an existing template
you simply load it from the File menu.
Every aspect of the drawing templates are
customizable. Adding and editing text, images,
drawing elements, tables, setting colors, line
width and patterns can easily be done. Drawing
elements can be rotated, flipped, aligned and
tiled. Anyone who has used a program similar to
Microsoft Visio©
will be very familiar with the drawing tools and
functions in TubePro.
The ability to link text elements in the drawing
to information, either specified in the project
or extracted from a database, ensures that the
information in the reports and drawings are the
same. Changing the information in the TubePro
Project Properties window will update the
information throughout the project.
The defect legends are also re-usable and fully
customizable. You can set the color,
percentage-range, symbol, defect code and text
for each legend symbol. If you need to re-use a
previously created legend it's simply imported
from the Legend Editor.
